“Our entire experience was delightful. The server made good suggestions, she was just attentive enough, and there was a sincere smile on her face. The food was sublime. My husband had the walleye and I had the filet mignon. On the server's recommendation, we shared a side of squash in a gorgonzola and maple sauce that was one of the best we've ever eaten. My husband thought the fish was very good. I'm one of those people who wounds a chef's heart because I like my filet well done ... it was just right, still moist and flavorful. Of course, the view was spectacular. A ship went under the lift bridge just as we were wrapping up a memorable experience. Well done, J.J. Astor's!“

“The service from out waiter Tony was outstanding. The food was flavorful and hearty. Great burgers, salads, soups, and well all the food I've tried here was good. The view overlooking Duluth is the best and the alcoholic beverage service is plentiful.“

“Went there as a going away party with a group of co-workers. I have to say, this is the best restaurant meal I have had in a long time.“

“This was our first time at JJ Astor's. Wonderful views of Duluth and Lake Superior. Our wait staff was excellent - attentive but not intrusive. The food was wonderful - the pork tenderloin was especially tasty. I also recommend the baked gnocchi. For an appetizer, the scallops were cooked to perfection. Overall, a delightful experience with excellent staff and outstanding food. We will return!“

“Delicious food and great view of the harbor!
We had a very nice dinner at JJ Astor in the Radisson Hotel during Restaurant Week. Our food was delicious! We started off with a nice cocktail, then each had a very good salad, then I had the "pressed chicken", which was like a boneless chicken pan-fried with a weight on it -- VERY good. Dessert was pot de creme -- fantastic! All the while, we were slowly revolving with a view of the Duluth harbor. It felt like a special occasion.“
